🌱 Latinos in Agriculture
- Latinos in Agriculture aims to promote diversity and higher education among agricultural majors. We seek to make students feel welcome by participating in campus activities, hosting events like 26 Hours and DATE: Discovering Agriculture the Transfer Experience, and connecting students with resources necessary for their success. Along with this LIA hosts biweekly meetings where members are welcome to partake in various engaging fun activities with snacks and food provided!
🏦 Latinx Student Business Association
- “LBSA hopes to encourage and promote the development of tomorrow's future leaders from all backgrounds and career fields. They also strive to equip every member with the fundamental skills, relationships, and expertise necessary to successfully launch their professional careers from when they join our professional club to their graduation and beyond. Through fun and engaging events, we hope to encourage the importance of balancing life, work and school.”
🧳 Agribusiness Management Club (ABM/NAMA)
- “The ABM/NAMA club is a great way for students to learn about the agribusiness industry. The club allows students to attend industry conventions, compete in marketing competitions, and network with agribusiness professionals. Being involved in the club is also a great way to meet and socialize with other students.”
🚜 Agricultural Engineering Society (AES)
- AES is the official club for the BRAE Department at Cal Poly. The club has many activities that are held throughout the year. Every Thursday from 11 am to 12 pm on the BRAE ramp, AES hosts a student run barbecue for their members to get together, socialize, and have a good meal. AES holds general monthly meetings to update members on current events and have guest speakers from the industry to inspire students about what a career after college may look like.
🐮 Los Lecheros
- Support the dairy industry through academic and social activities within the Dairy Science Department at Cal Poly!
🌾 Crops Club
- “The purpose of the Crops Club is to enhance personal and business relationships within the Ag. Industry. The club serves with other agricultural organization such as CAPCA (California Agricultural Pesticide Control Advisors) to keep strong ties with the community and other colleges. Regular events are scheduled throughout the year to promote unity and enable students to socialize and foster career objectives. Members also compete in crops judging contests.”
🏹 Archery Club
- “We are a campus club sport at Cal Poly SLO, affiliated with USA Archery since 2020. Our ranks are open to current Cal Poly students of any level, and we compete as a club in USA Archery events open to recurves.”
